WHAT IS HORNELL PARTNERS FOR GROWTH (HPG)?
Hornell Partners for Growth (HPG), is the official name for Hornell’s BID. The Business Improvement District was established in 1997. Business Improvement Districts exist throughout New York State, each with their own locally defined purpose. Members of the BID can only be commercial property owners and tenants whose locations fall within the defined district. The Hornell district is generally defined by a contiguous line reaching Wal-Mart Plaza to the north, HEP Sales to the west, Park Drive to the south and Stop and Shop to the East with the Main Street business area being at the center of the district.
The BID is funded by a small tax applied to and paid by the commercial property owners within the district. HPG is governed by a Board of Directors elected by the membership according to BID election criteria. The Board provides strategic direction to the local BID Manager defining our top priorities. In Hornell it is our focus to collaborate with the City, Chamber of Commerce and local businesses to bring the Hornell community special events . We also strive to serve the BID businesses with support, guidance, training and marketing to help them be strong, thriving businesses. Together the goal is to help make the Hornell BID district be the best it can be for both businesses and our community.
The District includes businesses such as retail, banking, insurance, medical offices, printing, utilities, beauticians, attorneys, restaurants & adult beverage establishments, delis, coffee shops, computer repair etc. Visit our website for a complete list of businesses.
