United Presbyterian Church – Accompanist

There is an immediate opening for the position of Accompanist at the United Presbyterian Church 150 Main Street, Hornell, NY.  Interested candidates should send a letter of interest, including references.  This announcement will remain open until the position is filled.

The Accompanist will provide appropriate music for the church worship service and rehearsals. The Accompanist should be available to play for all Sunday morning worship services and the midweek choir rehearsals. The Accompanist is also expected to play for the Maundy Thursday and Christmas Eve services. The Accompanist may also be requested to play for the Christmas pageant at the request of the pageant director. The Accompanist shall inform the Director of Music as far ahead as possible (preferably a month) when not available to play on Sunday or rehearsal. The Accompanist should give a list of service music (prelude, offertory, postlude) to the church secretary on Wednesday for inclusion in the bulletin. The Pastor and Director of Music will consult with the organist for playing at special services, such as weddings, funerals, or other events.
