Hornell 4th of July Celebration Returns to Veterans Memorial Park

Hornell, NY – Get ready to celebrate Independence Day in style as Hornell Partners for Growth (HPG) and the City of Hornell proudly present the 4th of July Celebration, returning to Veterans Memorial Park for a full day of fun, food, and fireworks!

Parade Details
📅 Saturday, July 4, 2026
🕛 Parade Step-Off: 12:00 PM
🕚 Line-Up Begins: 11:00 AM
📍 Line-Up Location: Hornell High School

Parade Route: Leaves HHS Parking lot at State Street (Or Rader Road) → Right on Seneca Street → Left on Main Street → Ends at Bank Street. The route is 0.9 Miles

Day-of-Parade Instructions:

  • Participants leaving vehicles at Hornell High School should use the Rader Road parking lot.
  • Large vehicles (fire trucks, tractors, etc.) will be positioned at the end of the parade and should line up along Rader Road / Route 36 facing State Street.
  • Floats, walkers, bicycles, and similar entries should line up in the State Street parking lot.

 

Those who enter may win one of 4 trophies: Most Patriotic,  Interactive, Entertaining, and Junior Showstoppers & Community Favorite categories.

 

Festivities at Veterans Memorial Park
From 12:00 PM to dusk, Veterans Memorial Park will be buzzing with excitement. Enjoy craft and food vendors throughout the day, offering something for everyone. Vendors interested in participating are encouraged to email hornellpartners@gmail.com for an application.

Live Music – Line up will be updated as we get closer to the date

 

Family-friendly entertainment will include music, kids’ activities, and access to the City pool Noon-6PM

Cruizen Time Car Show
Classic car enthusiasts won’t want to miss the Cruizen Time Car Show from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with awards announced at 3:00 PM. Show cars should enter via East Vanscoter Street, and participants are also invited to join the parade for an added touch of nostalgia.

Fireworks Extravaganza
As the sun sets, prepare for the largest fireworks display Hornell has ever seen, set to light up the night sky and cap off the day in spectacular fashion.

 

A Community Effort
To ensure the event remains a success, attendees are kindly asked to keep the park clean by using the provided trash cans. If you notice a full or fallen trash bag, please notify a staff member. A reminder that Veterans Memorial Park is a no-smoking (including cigarettes, vapes, and marijuana) and no open container area.
